Here are the most important things:
- I collect breadties. Obsessively.
- I like to keep 5 to 7 kinds of mustard in my fridge at all times.
-I tend to walk really fast. But I almost never run.
- Although I love coffee/tea/soup, I have incredible difficulty carrying these things without spilling them, or initially tasting them without burning myself. The exception to this rule is the tea that comes right before sushi. Somehow that's always the right temperature.
- I have trouble passing a moving body of water (river, lawn sprinkler) without touching it somehow.
- I love showing off chest hair. Mine, not yours.
- If I offer to "breakdance", make sure I'm not wearing a nice shirt. I'm going to get my shirt dirty when I "breakdance".
You can figure out the rest as you get to know me.
Pretty much anyone!!!!
I'm especially interested in talking with anyone about music, about being in bands, touring, songwriting, gear, you know how it is. Oh, and people that are totally open- or if not, kinda mysterious- about hilarious quirks. And people who are willing to tell me really funny jokes, and then let me say that I invented them. And maybe Jay Ingram. Or that Natasha chick.

I have decided to keep this list to stuff i've been listening to LATELY:
Les Savy Fav - This band (and the next here) make me want to re-evaluate my top 5 favourite bands of all time. New record is so far from the kind of disappointment I was bracing myself for, it's not even funny. Amazing. AMAZING. Also, I'm scared of Tim Harrington.
Animal Collective - Everyone told me that Strawberry Jam was "poppy" and then after seeing them live I refused to believe that. But hey wow, I listened to the record and yeah it actually is poppy. Amazing! I actually like it more than the live show! This band (like LSF) will go down in history as genius.
Eric's Trip - I am gonna marry Julie Doiron. Seriously, she has my heart. Also, I'm (a little) scared of Rick White.
Melt Banana - This band makes me wanna bang on things. Like, objects, not people. Awesome ridiculousness straight from Japan.
Saetia - The "how have i not heard this before?!" for this installment. Amaaaazing record. Back when emo was good.
A Place To Bury Strangers - Holy crap, I want to get to a point in music where I can play this loud and not get yelled at. Amazing guitar sound. Thick like coffee that's been sitting in a French press all day.
Okkervil River - This record makes me cry. Incredibly beautiful, with the best flow and story from track to track in recent memory.
Errand Boy - Bryan, you're fucking awesome. What a great album.
Videohippos - Just got into them, less a.d.d. than I expected, but still awesome!
Let's make this recent stuff too:
Mallrats [FINALLY saw it. I love Jason Lee. Nobody can swear unnecessarily like that guy]
Half Nelson [absolutely incredible, highly recommend!]
Wet Hot American Summer [same as above!]
For Your Consideration
Bottle Rocket
The Intermission
The Last Kiss
Junebug
Doctor Zhivago, although I was only half paying attention, I REALLY liked what I saw.
Arrested Development, Clone High, Futurama, 30 Rock, Scrubs, House M.D., My Name Is Earl, Freaks and Geeks, Stella, Samurai Pizza Cats, The O.C., Dawson's Creek, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Coupling, The Office, 24, Saturday Night Live (all of it, yes even the new stuff).
anything by Robertson Davies, Chuck Palahniuk & Kurt Vonnegut (thanks Baldwin!), The Perks of Being a Wallflower (AMAZING, Chbosky), Michael Winter (definitely is my new favourite author), this Ian Mcewan guy seems to know what's he's at too, Catcher in the Rye , Lone Ranger and Tonto: Fistfight in Heaven, The Things We Carry, A Separate Peace
TEPPO NUMMINEN, John Frusciante, .moneen., John Samson, Ted Leo!, Mike/Allan/Johnny, Kumar, Bill Murray, B.E. Staveley, Dave Grohl's pretty swell too.
