Mic Devious was born in New York and raised upstate in Syracuse, where he first got bit by the hip hop bug at the age of 14. He, along with three neighborhood friends started their own breakdance crew performing in talent shows and at the local malls. After graduating high school, Mic Devious enlisted in the United States Air Force. It was during his time in basic training that he first picked up a pen and started writing rhymes while the lights were out. With nothing but a flashlight, he and another trainee started writing songs in a group, where they would recite the songs to fellow airmen in the barracks.Mic Devious is a powerful writer and performer who takes great pride in his work. Mic has shared the stage with some great national acts including Joe Budden, The Roots, Obie Trice, Nas, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Killah Priest, Killer Mike, Dead Prez, Baby Bash, Rahzel, J-Live, Boot Camp Click, Clipse, Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz, and Cappadonna. Along with his impressive performance resume, Mic Devious also has a song with Cali Agent #1, Rasco, called "What's Your Name", that is currently in rotation on KKFR, Power 92.3 FM Phoenix. Mic will also be providing the intro rap for a Direct TV hip hop show called "The Museum", which will air nationwide later this year. In the fall of 2004, Mic Devious will be dropping his first full length solo LP entitled "Seize the Moment", which is the most anticipated album ever from an Arizona hip hop artist. Alongside the appearance by Rasco will also be appearances by Main-Flow and Reks.He also has a track with Cappadonna from the Wu-Tang on n.o.k.'s album called "LIVE FROM STREETSIDE" "Seize the Moment" is composed of heartfelt lyrics, battle tracks, and all around great music for the hip hop listener.
