RTC Shogun of The Council Pro

About Me

Profile edited with CricketSoda's Myspace Editor Being influenced by such hip hop producers as DJ Premier, Timbaland, Pete Rock, and J Dilla, it's no surprise that RTC Shogun is as accomplished as he is. Starting his production career at the age of 15 with only a Casio keyboard and 4 track cassette recorder, he began banging out beats for his first crew. After a move to New Orleans, he was brought into the world of crate digging, and sampling by a fellow DJ who sold him his first MPC. After his brief residence in New Orleans, he returned to Phoenix to attend the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences. At the Conservatory he refined his production skills and learned the ins and outs of audio engineering. After finishing school he decided to go into production full force, and started Mind Spit Productions. He began working with the best MC's Arizona had to offer and formed Mind Spit Records with his partner, Ray Diggs.Being a DJ as well as producer, Shoguns sound is strictly raw hip hop. Working mainly with an MPC 2000xl and stacks of records, he also incorporates live instrumentation and computer technology. He is also accomplished behind the sound board, with countless hours of engineering time under his belt, and has been behind the recording and mixing of many albums and singles. He has worked with and produced for many names in the industry, such as; Wu Tang's Cappadonna, Rasco of the Cali Agents, Volume 10, Baby Bash, Too Short, Bad Boy's Hoodfellaz, Main Flow, King Syze and Rappin' 4 Tay. As a DJ he has has performed all along the West Coast, and Down South. He now maintains a moderately low profile, so you may just have to look for him in the credits..................................................... .........................................A few albums Ive produced or have been involved with..
