Sports and Music (I think we got that covered already). Pets (especially cats). Sometimes I catch myself thinking I like animals almost more than humans sometimes. They are just so pure. No hidden agendas (well, cats maybe do;-)) And Books. Give me a good book and you won't see me for a few days till I'm finished. A great way to get rid of me. Cooking. I cook almost everyday, and I like to create my own meals rather than relying on a cookbook. Red Wine. Unbelievably tasty. Mhmmmm... Traveling. There is nothing better to widen your horizon than seeing new cultures and places. I also have to say I get on best with people who have been all over the world rather than with people who get homesick as soon as they leave their house.

I LOOOOVE music. It makes me happy. It makes me sad. It makes me horny. It makes me sleepy. It makes me angry. It makes me lazy. It makes me cry. It makes me dance. It makes me relax. It makes me scream. It makes me shout. To cut it short: It makes me feel alive.I guess it wouldn't hurt to go more into detail now after my little poetic outburst above, and let you know about what kind of music I mainly listen to: it's defenitely Alternative Rock that gets most under my skin. I'm a rocker chick, I can't help it. Born and bred by rocker parents. My Dad still plays in two different rock bands up to this day.My temporary favorites are defenitely the Foo Fighters, whose songs are a total energetic outburst every single time, and the Queens of the Stoneage, whose latest album is by far their best and they are simply genius. No matter how often I listen to their songs, I always discover some new brilliant subtleties in there.... Long loved bands and singer/songwriters are: Heather Nova, Tori Amos, Jemma Hayes, Live, Oasis, Travis, The White Stripes, Modest Mouse, Van Morrison, Pearl Jam, Kula Shaker, K's choice, PJ Harvey, Tracy Chapman, Barenaked Ladies, Julian Lennon, Incubus, Richard Ashcroft, Keane, Beck, Franz Ferdinand, Manic Street Preachers, Silverchair, Damien Rice, Elliot Smith and soooooo many more! On the electronic side we've got Massive Attack, Kruder&Dormeister, St.Germain, Junior Jack, Moloko, Goldfrapp, Morcheeba, Air, and ...hmmm...can't think of any right now. I know there are more, but I can't be bothered to think right now! sorry folks!
Seinfeld, The Office (English version!!!), Coupling (English version!!!), Friends (yes, I have to admit it, what can I do about it), Malcom in the middle, Family guy....and that's pretty much it I think. I don't watch TV very often. Hate the ads!
That's too tough. There are so many good books out there, it'd be unfair to name just a few and forget about some others that deserve mentioning too. What is more, half of the books I read are from outstanding German speaking authors who you guys probably never even heard of. But if anyone would like to know, I'm happy to go deeper into it. Just let me know. So, generally speaking, I am into any kind of literature, into contemporary novels as well as old classics, and I like certain kind of non-fiction too, like autobiographical stories of smart people, like for example "Prozac Nation" or "Now, more, again" by Elizabeth Wurtzel (I love that woman, she is brilliant!). Another long time favorite author is Nick Hornby for me, I love every single book he wrote, and not only because of his great black humor, but also because of the topics he chooses to write about. Jennifer Belle who wrote "Going Down" and "High Maintenance" seems to follow in his footsteps, and might become my new favorite. Okay, I gotta stop now, because I did, what I didn't want to do in the first place: naming a few books, and leave out all the billions of other good ones...
Tori Amos and Heather Nova and, as cheesy as it may sound: my mum ( yes, my mum - got a problem with that?)
