About Me
HYPERSOLID are a band that will not be held to a standard, a form, or a mold.In a time of cookie-cutter songs, images, and gimmicks where everyone is afraid to stray from the formula, HYPERSOLID go their own way and disregard the trends, if they don't suit them. Unafraid to NOT have a breakdown, and to NOT say they're "the most brutal thing ever".Most unique, is the fact that they willingly wear their influences on their sleeves, yet still maintain an identity of their own. You'll hear elements of all the bands they love, but still hear a sound unique unto HYPERSOLID.One needs to hear not one, but several songs from the band to grasp the concept.Fans have been quoted as comparing them to Queensryche, Soilwork, Meshuggah, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and many others- both modern and classic. One thing is certain- no one can describe the band easily, as anything but great.A big reason for this is the vocal performance of Sam Space. In one song the vocals can go from Rob Halford highs to Anselmo lows, sometimes in the blink of an eye. Not to mention the myriad of other textures in between. Listening to Sam is like an education in Metal singing, from past to present. In fact the whole band is incredibly talented- unlike some bands, THERE IS NO WEAK LINK.HYPERSOLID is without a doubt one of the most diverse and talented bands in New England. They have shared the stage with many bands, and performed at the prestigious NEW ENGLAND METAL AND HARDCORE FESTIVAL, as well as the ROCK AND SHOCK FESTIVAL- supporting SOILWORK, DARKEST HOUR, MNEMIC, an THREAT SIGNAL.New demo material is on the way, with production and recording being overseen by Rob, the guitar player- who has done work with bands such as The Red Chord, Shadows Fall, Throwdown, Arsis, Ion Dissonance, Hatebreed, Kingdom of Sorrow, Icepick, Aerosmith, Mos Def, and many others. Progress is always underway in some form or another.
HYPERSOLID has shared the Stage with such prestigious national acts as Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, Arch Enemy, Dragon Force, Into Eternity, Soilwork, A Life Once Lost, Lacuna Coil, Diecast, The Red Chord, Chimiara, Byzantine, Deicide, Kittie, Dope, Threat Signal, Throwdown, Darkest Hour, Seemless, Mnemic, Overkill, Yakuza, Burn In Silence, Sanctity, Daughters, Tub Ring, Gamma Ray, Between The Buried And Me, From A Second Story Window, Protest The Hero, War Of Ages, Norma Jean, Full Blown Chaos, The Acacia Strain, Ligeia, Necrophagist, Haste The Day and More
