About Me

- NO REGRET REUNION 12.16.07 -
Here are a few clips from the No Regret reunion show on 12.16.07. As our luck would have it, it was a really shitty day outside.....a nor'easter actually, but some people still plowed through the sleet and snow to get to the show!!! Some of you actually came up from NY, so ya'll totally kick ass!! So, it wasn't as good as we had hoped thanks to mother fuckin' nature, but for the good amount of people that still made it, you guys defintely made this show worth the while. We had a blast, and it was great to see all the old faces one last time. The footage is a bit dark, but it's all we got. Enjoy :)

Sounds Like: A really painful crap.

NO REGRET formed in June of 1996 at 121 Studios in Brockton, MA. Founding members Paul Barstad and Mark Pozzo represented the heart of the band during it's productive 5-year history. As other contributing members came and went, No Regret constantly morphed from one incarnation to another. The band had a very unique approach in combining elements of metal, hardcore, and rap fused with hate, anger, and all out agression. This was such the case that Paul's introduction to every show was "Are you ready to be fuckin' horrified!!!" No Regret hit Brockton's hardcore/metal music scene with thier first release "NEVER ASKED TO BE BORN" (400+ Records) in 1997. Having sold 500 copies in just 5 months, No Regret complimented the success by performing with bands like DIECAST, MERAUDER, MURPHYS LAW, WARZONE, E-TOWN CONCRETE, LESS THAN JAKE, CANDIRIA, 25 TA LIFE, FURY OF FIVE, SHADOWS FALL, and TREE to name a few. In 1998, the independent label 400+ Records put out the local metal/hardcore compilation "CITY OF CHAMPIONS". No Regret was featured with the opening track "CUT TO THE BONE" which recieved air play on "WAAF" and several local radio stations. To date "City of Champions" has sold well over 5000 copies. No Regret then headed back to the studio (Ultrasound Recordings - Hanover, MA) to record 10 new songs for their follow up record, but financial problems at 400+ Records quickly slowed the process. It took 2 years to release their sophomore effort "STRONGER THAN THIS". With this record emerged a darker, heavier, and more metallic (less hardcore) sound, which helped the band sell 600 copies and lead them to a spot on the "WITHOUT SHELTER WE DIE" complitation (Fountain Head Records in assocciation with then popular metal site "MEGAKUNGFU.COM"). Proceeds from the compilation helped out homeless shelters around the metro Boston aera.

In their five year span NO REGRET had played with many popular local acts such as GRUDGEHOLDER, 7 DAY CURSE, XXL, ONE MAN STANDS, INCISION, GRIM, FALL OUT, NOK, PUNCH THE CLOWN, CYBIL, DYSOPHORIA, OVERCAST, SOUL MACHINE, FAT BASTARD, FUSE, AT WAR, COOLER THAN SMACK, 12 CENT, JUNCTION 18, DOWNBURST, SOUL MIND FIST, GASKIT, 454 BIG BLOCK, MUNKIGRIP, PISTON HONDA, DEAD 50'S, FUR, TENSION, BRAWLPARK, LEAGUE OF PAIN, TEAHOUSE OF THE ALLMIGHTY, HUMANS BEING, VOLITION, TREE, HONKEYBALL, D-CON (ex-STOMPBOX), FORCE OF HABIT, BLACKBELT, BREEDING GROUND, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE and an enormous list of other great bands that help put Brockton on the hardcore/metal scene. NO REGRET also entered many competitions on websites like "FARMCLUB.COM" and"GARAGEBAND.COM", which they came in 4th place to open up for "LIMP BIZKIT" in Seattle, WA and 2nd place for contributing to the soundtrack for Adam Sandler's "LITTLE NICKY".

The last effort by No Regret came up incomplete. In 2001, the band began tracking for their third release at Fort Apache Studios in Somerville, MA (made popular by acts like JULIANA HATFIELD, THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES, POWERMAN 5000, BECK, to name a few). Unfortunately financial and personal reasons plagued the band and they disbanded before the sessions were over.
