Brawl Park

About Me

Formed in '94, Brawl Park captured the hardcore scene full till when they released their hard hitting, self-titled four song EP. The band promoted their release performing with some of the biggest bands in the industry at the most notorious clubs throughout New England. In April of '95, Brawl Park performed live on "NASTY HABITS"(88.9 WERS)BOSTON and broke an all time record for money pledges, as all proceeds went to support the radio station. It was at this time that Brawl Park began to reach the next level as requests for shows poured in from everywhere. In the summer of '96, the band recorded their twelve-song album titled "Step To This" on RRC Records, (the band's exclusive independent label). Since the release, the album has received rave reviews and continues to sell strong today with distribution reaching out to Japan through "25 Ta Life's"(Back To Basics) label and to Europe through RPP Records, (an independent hardcore label in Belgium). Brawl Park also appears on the '98 compilation: "City Of Champions", released by 400+ Records. In '98, Brawl Park entered the DiscMakers' Independent Music World Series and were chosen as semi-finalists, which gave them the opportunity to re-release their successful EP onto CD, build a web-site and expand. In the fall they found themselves searching for a new vocalist after Steve Costa, the band's vocalist of 5 years, relocated to Florida. The move was unexpected and untimely, but that wasn't going to hold the band back in any way. After 6 months of carefully considering a number of vocalists, Brawl Park found the man they were looking for. His name is K.C. and his unmatchable screams and powerful vocal arrangements are guaranteed to get any crowd moving. Which was evident at LOBAZOOKA '99, put on by WAAF and 3-D Entertainment.
