Driven by aggressive guitars, dynamic beats, passionate vocals, and thought provoking lyrics, Poor Mans Riches gives inspiration to all who have lost the vision of what rock music was meant to be.
Formed in the small southern town of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky in the summer of 1999, PMR initially began with the intent of just hanging out, playing music, and passing the time with friends. What the boys of PMR didnt know was that slowly but surely the enthusiasm for having a good time would churn itself into a fiery ambition to show audiences across the country how a simple zest for life can completely change a persons view of living.
Original members Jeremy (vocals), Chuck (guitar), Willie (bass guitar), and Jessie (drums) have, from the very beginning, dedicated themselves to making the most of every moment. Beginning with playing every local show they could get their hands on has paid off in amazing ways. PMR currently shares the stage with mega acts such as Switchfoot, Third Day, Jeremy Camp, and Toby Mac to mention a few.
The boys from Kentucky have made their way around the country several times, playing in 43 of the 48 continental states, including 5 national tours, and festival appearances coast to coast. Upon releasing their debut album Energy, the music of PMR has consistently remained in the top 20 on the national Radio and Records charts. With songs like the title track Energy, Break Me, Motions, and their latest release Without You, audiences all over the U.S. are found singing along.
Focusing on hope in times that seem hopeless, and loving people with the love of Jesus Christ has always been the focal point of who PMR is. Sharing these thoughts and encouraging others in a non-threatening way is the foundation of a mission that has continued to be the mainstay of not only PMR as a band, but as something that transcends into the daily lives of the boys.
Live shows are the groups forte. Crowds often leave a PMR show with a whole new enthusiasm for life. A melodic roller coaster of emotion, energy, and exhilaration with a dash of hot sauce is the best way to describe what someone will experience while attending a Poor Mans Riches concert. From the first note to the last, PMR will take you on a journey of amusement, excitement, contemplation, and passion that will blow your mind, and keep you wanting more.
