About Me

I was born in Oregon but I consider myself to be from New Mexico. I learned some of the basics about music and playing bass from my bro, over the phone, while he was going to college in Colorado. In Ruidoso, I taught myself how to read music and played bass in jazz band and blew a little bit in the tuba for marching band. I moved to Fort Collins my senior year, where my music teacher, Mike Smith, inspired me to be a better musician. I studied at Colorado State for a little while and didn't really like it. I studied classical upright bass with Edward Krolick for awhile. My bro and I started a band called Patchwork Blue in September of 2001 which started as a quartet then moved to a trio. While in the band we recorded three albums however I am proud of the last album the most. One major highlight was in spring of 2005 we got to open for Everclear. In the begining of 2006 I was accepted to Berklee and in the summer I left the band and moved to Boston with my girlfriend, Caitlin. I've met some great people here so far and am enjoying myself quite a bit. In summer of 2007 I recorded with a string section on the new Dropkick Murphy's album "The Meanest of Times". Then in August of 2007 I was hired by Naree to fly to Dubai and open for Pink. I've got about a year left and should be done by the end of 2008. If you want to hear me play in Patchwork Blue, go to www.patchworkblue.com or www.myspace.com/patchworkblue and all the recordings they have posted have me playing bass from Patchwork Blue's third album "Junction". Some refrences include: Patchwork Blue, Vices I Admire, James Scott Band, the Lush Life, Naree, Carl Eisman, and Reagan Gibson
