RheAnnderson Cooper & The Church of OBAMA!

I live now and only now, and I will do what I want to do this moment and not what I decided was best

About Me

I'm a film school drop-out turned art school drop-out turned religious studies major at Naropa University.

When I grow up, I want to be a Dixie Chick.
...or Anderson Cooper.

...& I have always wanted to go to Africa.

In the meantime...
Hold on to your panties, girls! It's the extended version of Steve Perry's "Oh Sherrie!"

I love that the crew is all pissy and stressed and completely unaware that Steve is somehow making a totally "better" video on his own...with a broom...and an energetic walk down a marble staircase...and high-waisted jeans that really accentuate his...ahem...vocals. (Check the shot at the bottom of the stairs.)

Ah, good times.

Face Dancing(Also? It wouldn't kill you to subscribe to my blog. I'm just sayin.)

Music:

the soundtrack to a rainy day drive

the whisper of cotton fields and coal mines and whiskey stills and alleyways under the light of the moon

the stories of dissention--plucked, scraped, whistled, or screamed

the movement of hips and the kiss upon shoulders when the sound has nowhere to go but inside

the repetition that pulls arms into the air or tears into the eyes

a girl who growls or coos or purrs

a man who's smarter than me

songs and voices that haunt

a beat that makes the toe tap and the hiney wiggle

a melody that can take me back in time
