About Me

Graham Shimell is a singer/songwriter from Newport, South Wales, UK. He has just finished a six month course studying at L'aula de Música Moderna i Jazz in Barcelona (a member institution of Berklee College of Music, Boston). Thanks to Lee Goodall (Oakfield studios) for his brilliance on the track beyond the stars.MyspacePeople sneer but for musicians I believe myspace.com is a bit of a godsend. The music people hear is no longer dictated to by Record companies. Music lovers have now got a choice. There are some fantastic musicians here on myspace.Ponderings"Capitalism destroys community through the use of media, TV, promotion of greed and competition, lack of the right education, fear... This delights the top 5% for it is a good way to reduce the risks of revolt."GS"If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern.""The imagination is not a State: it is the Human existence itself." William Blake “You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.” Fredrich Nietzsche “A man/woman only learns in two ways, one by reading, and the other by association with smarter people”"The emotional, sexual, and psychological stereotyping of females begins when the doctor says, "It's a girl." "ArtworkThanks kindly to Barbara who let me use her amazing paintings to illustrate my songs. There is a link to her site in my top friends.
