Hi all! This is a Scotty Bowman (unofficial) Fan Page-
I AM NOT SCOTTY!
Scotty has been such a legend and the greatest coach for us Detroit Red Wings Fans-and Hockey Fans in general, that I just want to show we appreciated him!!
This is a work in progress so please bare with me as I build this page...after all it is all about SCOTTY!! Comments are welcomed!
Let's show Scotty we recognized his great achievements throughout his career. I am just starting this page but I invite you to tell all your friends to join!!
Scotty's info:
William Scott Bowman
Born: September 18, 1933
Where: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
He is the winningest coach in league history, with 1,244 wins in the regular season and 223 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He coached the St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings.
As a head coach, he won a record nine Stanley Cups !!
Montreal Canadiens (1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979),
Pittsburgh Penguins (1992)
Detroit Red Wings (1997, 1998 and 2002).
He was also part of the 1991 Stanley Cup winning team as director of player development for the Penguins. He won the Jack Adams Award in 1977 and 1996. In the 1976-77 season he won a record 60 games and broke his own record with 62 wins in 1995-96. What is amazing is that no other head coach in the history of the NHL, Major League Baseball, the National Football League, or the National Basketball Association has won championships with three different teams.

I'd like to meet:

If any of you would like your pictures of Scotty posted please send them-also I like to say these pictures posted are on the internet and on cards so I would like to show these pictures of Scotty-but acknowledge them as the resource of the pictures shown.
I would like to say that the NHL and Hockey Legends have many stories of Scotty that you can look up on their websites.
I had the pleasure of meeting Scotty. He is a true gentleman. I always had the impression that Scotty was a true promoter of the NHL. He is always doing work to promote Hockey. I believe this is one of the loves of his life.
1/12/08: Whatever Scotty decides to do with his career-we here in Detroit, Thank him for the time spent with our Wings--if he decides to go to Toronto, that does not diminish what we feel for you. Hockey is a business. I will say I wish you the best in whatever you do! Take care Scotty!
