His roots spawn from the hills of Jamaica to the waters of the Dominican Republic. Ladies and Gentlemen...Introducing "Steel". Born in Jacksonville, Florida in the late 70's came an individual who was destined to make his mark on the world. Playing drums in his Uncle's local band at 5 yrs old..Steel was captivating crowds from the very beginning. It was at the age of 12 yrs old when Steel saw something that amazed him like never before...A live DJ. Watching in astonishment....he knew that was what he wanted to do. It didn't take long for the youngster to start developing his skills. Doing local parties in New Jersey...competing with DJ's who had years of experience over him. But, there was something about this kid that everyone just loved. Word traveled fast, he quickly stepped his game up to doing high school dances...while still in junior high! As Steel grew in age so did his reputation, Djing at nightclubs where he was too young to even get into. He was young but his skill could not be denied. After high school...Steel enrolled at Kean University...where he quickly made a name for himself. Hosting the college radio show "Deep In the Muck"...with fellow host Erik Parker(Vibe Magazine). Flash some years forward..enter an accomplished turntablist, producer, and audio engineer. This "one man band" has developed sound over the years that amazes the mind. Versitilty and creativity are perfect words to to describe him.
