Music: A simple notion in the lives of ordinary people, but to a select group it's the foundation of feelings in which a multitude of personalities converge together with a solitary bond of passion; the band. This is the driving force of Disarming The Sky; the ability to reach within ourselves and deliver to the listener a sense of overwhelming energy, emotion, transport, and creativity.

Forged in the Summer of 2008, Disarming The Sky is the blended force of five Montgomery-based friends, a few of which reign from former band This Sky On Fire. The groups love for aggressive yet melodic guitar progressions, coupled with driving drum lines, layered vocals, and angelic harmonies, led them to develop an overall uniquely structured array of songs. The result, a style of music that is appealing to virtually all ears, bridging the gap between genres of indepedent, progressive, and experimental music.

Immediately, Disarming The Sky has exploded not only in musical form, but in overall camaraderie, attitude, commitment, and determination. They all share an amazing connection with one another, and within their manifold and diversified style of music. Their song-writing process is continuing steadfast, and new tunes are pouring out by the day. The band entered the Jackalope Studio in Montgomery, AL in September 2008 to record their first EP, setting the path towards their full-length LP that will follow in the first half of 2009.
