i currently work with kids and am going to school full-time. i like to read at coffee houses and i also like to write. I love writing because it allows me to get things out of my head and put them onto paper (yes, i still write on paper) where it all seems to make a little more sense . . . sometimes. music makes me happy. something i need once in awhile, is to put on an album and just lie down and listen to the whole thing all the way through. I love to do this with new music that's been on my list, but has taken me awhile to get around to buying (no, i don't have an ipod and i still buy all the music i listen to from the record store). i'm a social work major so i'm constantly practicing getting over my weirdoness when it comes to talking to people. i'm becoming more and more confident it's going to be okay eventually. i like to ask myself things like, "i wonder in ten years from now, what i'm going to wish i had known ten years ago." i never really grew out of the childish habit of pausing reality for awhile to imagine and pretend. i don't necessarily think there's anything wrong with this. just as long as the two worlds don't start to converge.
