I really am an eclectic mix of creative and intellectual, country girl and city girl, and I am a sensually driven woman. We are spirits in a body for a reason. A lot of my interests surround creating and finding experiences that lead to the satisfaction of my senses, fun, adventure, and those that inspire my work. To name a few: I enjoy great food, music, concerts, dancing, horseback riding, basketball and hockey games, wine, a cold beer on a hot summer day, rodeo, movies, art, flowers, the beauty of the mountains, oceans, or any of God's amazing architecture, plus the amazing smells associated with it all.
The perfect sunset on a perfect beach. Mountain getaways. Patios in the summer. Fireplaces in the winter. Being at the barn with my horses. Going out with friends or entertaining for the purpose of finding laughter & having good conversation. Shopping for that rare find at a place that is unique. Spending time with my children: going to water and amusement parks, riding roller coasters, taking a bike or horseback ride on a gorgeous Colorado day, or simply crawdad fishing with a string on a stick at the creek.
I am interested in furthering the causes of others. I do quite a bit of volunteer work.

Music:
Music in all forms. Music gives me the ability to dance through life. There is always a song playing in the background of my life.
Movies:
To name a few: Out of Africa, Wizard of Oz, Milagro Beanfield War, Blade Runner, The Notebook, On Golden Pond, Dangerous Laisions, An Affair to Remember, Coming to America, Trading Places, 8 Seconds, Shawshank Redemption, Ruthless People, Under the Tuscan Sun, What the Bleep Do We Know, Zorro (the original), Pride and Prejudice, Music and Lyrics, Sound of Music (I know every word to every song)
Television:
Television is not a big part of my life. In the summer months the tube is pretty much nonexistent. I do like Grey's Anatomy, and find myself caught up in Amreican Idol because my children are such big fans. The Discovery Channel has some pretty interesting programs. A quick peak at CNN to educate myself on what's going on in the world, even though most of the time what I learn I would rather not know.
Books:
Some of the most memorable: "The Prophet", "Man's Search for Meaning", "Lonesome Dove", "The Invitation",
"Masters of Change", "Bless Me Ultima", "Jasmine", "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee", "Seabiscuit", "Me", "Hope Rising", "The Dream Giver", "A Return to Love" and so so many more.
LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!!
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure!
It is our Light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are born to make manifest the Glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us. It's in everyone.
And as we let our own Light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fears,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
-- Marianne Williamson

What will happen when the secret corners of the forest are heavy with the scent of many men and the view of the ripe hills is blotted by talking wires? Where will the thicket be? Gone! Where will the eagle be? Gone! And what is it to say good-bye to the swift pony and the hunt? The end of living and the beginning of survival!â€

Maya Angelou

“Marriage is not a love affair. A love affair is a totally different thing. A marriage is a commitment to that which you are. That person is literally your other half. And you and the other are one. A love affair isn’t that. That is a relationship of pleasure, and when it gets to be unpleasurable , it’s off. But a marriage is a life commitment, and a life commitment means the prime concern of your life. If marriage is not the prime concern, you are not married.â€
“The way to find out about happiness is to keep your mind on those moments when you feel most happy, when you are really happy — not excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy. This requires a little bit of self-analysis. What is it that makes you happy? Stay with it, no matter what people tell you. This is what is called following your bliss.â€
