Formed in 2005 by pop artists Ben Frost and Simon Lovelace, The Danger of Death creates a type of art-rock that could most appropriately be resembled to bludgeoning a fur seal with a keytar. Complimeted on drums and guitar respectively by german porn stars Sonke Roth and Gavin Arson - this is a band with very much more than both fists in the air.
Early Surry Hills practice sessions, whilst high on ice and Latvian beer, forced the band to move to a rehearsal studio in Sydneham, because of loud noise and even louder t-shirts.
Song titles at this time such as 'She Screams Out In the Night', 'Do a Motion in the Basket', and 'Car Crash in the Key of E', were not only badly recieved but forced their very first gig at 'PARTY, PARTY, PARTY' at Dimitri's in Surry Hills - which astoundingly got rave reviews in the Men's Toilets in Albert Park.
Danger of Death have now reached their stride, and are currently planning their first independent release, having played around 10 gigs in some of the coolest venues in Sydney. With a solid following and recently topping the Triple J Unearthed charts, this band is set to prove that the nation's number one killer is Death!!
