Band Members:Gary Huckleberry
Appreciated worldwide for his instrumental and frontman skills, Gary
Huckleberry has been energizing audiences with his carefree musical
style. His sweet slide guitar touches the heart of every audience,
giving them an experience that they won't find anywhere else. With
his guitar, his free-style vocal, his award winning harmonica playing,
and his down-home connection with the audience, he makes every
performance unforgettable.
Huckleberry started in music playing trumpet in the fifth grade, but
it wasn't until attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee that
he discovered the magic of the "Mississippi Saxophone", i.e., the
harmonica. On the way to a movie theater he picked up a hitchhiker
who showed him the tricks of the trade, and then Huckleberry was on
his way to a musical career.
Starting with the rock/blues band
"Bullfrog", then picked up by the legendary guitarist Terry Frank, he
played for seven years with the "Bone-Deluxe Blues Band". Next thing
you know Paul Kemnitz, the renowned street musician of New Orleans,
recognized the talents of Huckleberry on guitar, harmonica, and vocal,
and joined forces with him to form the "John The Conqueroo" band,
which became the world's premiere "cajun-rock-blues band" for 16 years,
playing in just about every major city across the United States.
Now,
Huckleberry joins forces with the super talent Tony Dancy, of "Tony's Tygers"
fame.

Tony Dancy
A versatile musician, Tony Dancy has been performing, writing, arranging, and recording since the age of 14. Keys, guitar and voice are his main instruments, but he has been known to pluck the standup bass and blow his own horn.
In 1968 Tony wrote the tune, "Little By Littleâ€, which he recorded with his band Tony’s Tygers. The song became an instant hit regionally and received national attention when A&M Records president, Herb Alpert, signed them to his fledgling label.
After attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Tony and fellow band mate, Craig Fairchild, drove across the US to L.A. in Tony’s ‘62 Rambler station wagon. On the strength of their songwriting and singing skills they were picked up by Wednesday's Child Productions, and began writing tunes for the Flintstones and the Brady Bunch TV shows.
In the mid 1970's, he founded a group called Quiffy – a hugely popular band in the L.A. and Orange County nightclub scene. The band's 6-part vocal renditions of tunes by groups as diverse as Queen, The Andrews Sisters, Earth Wind & Fire, Yes, and The Pointer Sisters, were arranged by Tony. Quiffy appeared on a TV pilot with William Shatner and worked on an album project with Three Dog Night producer Richard Podolor.
After Quiffy, Tony performed with various groups, including Ambrosia and El Chicano. He did quite a bit of studio work during this period, appearing on recordings by such disparate artists as Jim Photoglo and jazz great Dianne Reeves, as well as contributing to innumerable demos, jingles and various writing and arranging projects.
During the 90’s he began to work on his original material, producing two CD’s: “A Hopeless Romantic†and “Midnight Dancingâ€. Since 2000, Tony has been traveling extensively, recently returning to the states after having performed for a year in Hong Kong with the show group “Sixtiesmaniaâ€. Currently Tony is working on co-writing new songs, plus compiling a CD of light jazz tunes.
In the summer of 2007 Tony bumped into his old pal, Gary Huckleberry, and soon they got together for a jam session. They had so much fun that they decided to take it on the road as “The Dancy Huckleberry Adventureâ€.
