About Me

Formerly known as Fruitbat from Carter USM, I am now playing guitar and singing in my band new iDou with my bestest mate Richy.iDou has it's own myspace - HERESince Carter split in 1997, I have been playing and writing with firstly Abdoujaparov and now iDou. Also did a short stint as Uncle Fruity, a sort of pro-folk skiffle band.I have also written a yet to be staged musical with my mate Tim Connery, and have produced quite a few bands, written music for video games and films.

My Interests

Cycling, playing guitar, video games. Love going to gigs, seeing and hearing new bands. Very fond of beer too.

I'd like to meet:

Myself about 15 years ago and give me some advice.

Music:

Most of the time I am stuck in the 70's, but every now and again a great new band comes along to restore my faith in music. All time faves are David Bowie, AC/DC, Mott The Hoople, anything Glam Rock.Current faves are The Decemberists, Ciccone, Indelicates, Art Brut, Bernard, Shooting At Unarmed Men.Hate boring, earnest, grey music.

Movies:

Ealing Comedies, Mike Leigh, Yellow Submarine, Bill n Ted, Mighty Wind. Films are actually quite good aren't they.

Television:

Stargate, Eastenders, News 24, Simpsons (like everybody else on the planet). TIME TEAM, Flog It. Star Trek stuff. Good old-fashioned Brit sit-coms.

Books:

John Steinbeck, Kurt Vonnegut, John Wyndham, Enid Blyton

Heroes:

Djamolidine Abdoujaprov, Bowie,
