Damn it feels good to be a gangsta

About Me

Ok so my name is Melissa, but everyone has always called me Missy since birth, so that's what I go by. That IS kinda weird though, huh? I mean, why didn't my mom just freakin' name me Missy? It would have helped me out a lot, cause then I wouldn't have to be all "Oh, call me Missy" everytime a roll is called for anything I do that requires a roll call. I say this because when people call me Melissa, I usually don't respond, mainly due to the fact that I do not know myself by this name. So, uh, yeah, call me Missy. ;o)
Oh! I looove music! I listen to it, sing it, write it and play the guitar to it as much as I can. I have always wanted to have my own band... but right now I am on my own... which is fine...(eh..). BUT I plan on making this dream happen.
I love to make people laugh, so my goofiness and creativity come in handy. I'm also wicked cool and freakin' fantastic! Oh you know I am...come on..... There ya go. Feels better to admit it, huh? hehe
I kid!

I know I would!
I had to get some lala's up on my myspace. So here it is, kids! The new video for Bowling For Soup's "I'm Gay" is "out" now and filled with clips from the Get Happy Tour. Say it loud. Say it proud. "It's perfectly fine to be a happy individual!"

My Interests

Campfire cookies, and John Hughes movies, Junior Mints, and cold shower Tuesdays, November shivers, and rearview mirrors, and the little things like that...

Other than music and movies, which will be covered in other areas, so start getting excited..., I love to write, a-freaking-lot! I have the imagination of like 4 million people with big imaginations. My blog will never be boring, friends. And, I love the awesome sport that is Hockey, which unfortunatly doesn't exist here in Florida. Dammit.

I'd like to meet:

Johnny Depp, Madonna, Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell, Somebody who wants to give a bunch of money away to a girl named Missy, Jem (simply because she's Truly Outrageous. Truly, Truly, Truly Outrageous), a penguin, Bugs Bunny (cause he could always get me out of a sticky situation), and Britney Spears so I can cut out the middle man with these People Magazine stories and get to the bottem of what's really going on.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to the coolest guys ever!

My boys at the HoB in Orlando 4/28/07

..

Me and Jaret (The Coolest) in Orlando on 7/28/06. Funniest guy ever!

Erik - the best conversationalist ever! The man can talk about anything. And he will. Especially with a few beers in him. It's good times, I tell ya.

Chris says "Cheers!" Back at ya, buddy!

These guys have thrown some awesome Rock my way...

Mark Hoppus, buddy! Here's one from the Orlando show, 11/9/06.

Art Alexakis (Everclear), and that dark figure next to him is me. Camera phones suck.

Everclear put on a really good show. I've loved 'em since high school but this is the first time I saw them live. House of Blues, Orlando; Feb. 18, 2007.

Movies:

I will also watch anything with Johnny Depp, Vince Vaughn, John Cusack, Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey, Shia Labeouf, Drew Barrymoore, Rachel McAdams, Hilary Duff, or Mandy Moore in it. Actually, you know what? I'll pretty much watch anything, but if I don't like it, I'll just spend that hour and a half to two hours tearing the shit out of it. Making sure, of course, that the person that I'm watching it with isn't digging it, cause yeah...

The Best Movies Ever:

Television:

My current (90s and now) favorite TV shows are:
Family Guy
Friends
Laguna Beach
Basically Mtv reality shows in general(The Real World, Road Rules, Made, The Ashlee Simpson Show, The Newlyweds, There and Back, Cheyenne, The Hills, etc.)

21 Jumpstreet (for obvious reasons!)
Full House
Jem
Rainbow Brite
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Perfect Strangers
Punky Brewster
Fraggle Rock

Books:

I have a lot of these, cause I love to read. But I figure a list of books would bore the majority of you, so I'm just gonna put a couple down. I love Young Adult Fiction, mainly. I have this thing for books that have diaries or journal entries in them.

Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot

Sloppy Firsts, Second Helpings, and Charmed Thirds by Megan Mccaferty

the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan

Heroes:

I don't really have anyone I would consider the Wind Beneath My Wings, per se'.... But if you be yourself, regaurdless of what people think and say, AND you know what GOOD music is (if you have to ask, then you don't know, buddy...), then your name is in my Coolest People Ever book already, Ace! How does it freakin' feel?!
