NOTTINGHAM'S HEAVIEST MELODIC METAL BAND
BIOGRAPHY
The begins of Pyretta date back nearly 6 years where guitarist and lead songwriter Al moved to Nottingham with the hope of meeting like minded musicians. After working with various people it took nearly 3 years before the first solid lineup was in place with Kam (guitars), Pervy Tom (vocals), Dan (drums) and Guillaume (bass).
During 2003 and 2004 many gigs were played with this lineup to great success, with 2 gigs at the prestigeous and world famous Rock City venue - both drawing over 100 people in and many offers of tours were made by bands. Some great gigs were also supporting Conquest Of Steel and local heroes Bumsnogger!
During the latter half of 2004 unfortunately Guillaume had to leave band due to moving to Ireland to finish his degree, Katy later joined on bass - but Dans outside commitments had increased which led to the band being put on extended hiatus.
Through the next 2 years Al went on to concentrate more on event promotion and production with the Wildside events and festival and also the Bloodstock Festival. Kam is currently finishing his degree and Guillaume is still in Ireland.
Over the last 6 months Al decided to re-record the Pyretta songs onto his new recording software for a bit of fun, but the demos were overheard by some friends and were excitedly passed around!! It grabbed the attention of talented young singer Lewis who you can hear on the track "Memories Fading" which has been very well received around Nottingham to those who've heard it! So much so ... its sparked excited renewed interest in the band and Al has decided to REACTIVATE Pyretta and put together the best lineup possible!
Tours are already in the offering from best mates AREA54 and with our connections within the industry especially from the Bloodstock Festival Pyretta has massive potential into 2007.........
