(YOUR INNER MAN)
TEAR DOWN THE SAND HOUSE IN YOU AND BUILD A HOUSE OF ROCK IN YOU
MATTHEW 7:24-27 talks about 2 kinds of houses.
One house is built by a wise person who listens to GOD’S instructions and follows them and built his house upon a rock; and so when the rains, floods, and winds came and beat upon the house, it did not fall.
Then there is the house that is built by a foolish person who hears GOD’S instructions and ignores them and builds his house upon sand; and when the rains, floods, and winds came and beat upon the house, it fell with a great fall.It’s time for us to get rid of the weak house. The house I am talking about is the house on the inside of you, your inner-man. We are in a new year, 2008. A year of new beginnings, and it’s time to get rid of all the stuff inside of us that either has been there for years and years from our past, or the stuff we have recently been letting get on the inside of us rotting us out. After a while the stuff starts to pile up and we have a house full of infestations. A house that has more rotten wood inside of us than anything else.The insides of some of our houses, (our inner-man) looks like the $1.00 house they use to sell. Everything needs to go. It needs to be completely gutted out. Completely rentavated.
The insides of others look like the abandoned houses. You just let everything go and don’t tend to your house. Don’t check to see what can be done to fix it, to restore it.
The insides of even others look like the boarded up houses. There is a sign posted on your house that says no trespassing. Nothing can go in or out.Because none of these houses are being treated, attended to properly, they now have termites and rodents eating away inside of them. Well it’s time to get an exterminator. It’s time to get rid of everything inside of you that is keeping your house weak and torn down. It’s time to let the Master builder come in and rebuild your house so that it will stand strong when things come your way.
Some say , yes, I do want a new house. But how can you get a new house if you won’t let go of the old one?
The old house has all the memories in it. Well some of the memories are alright to keep. But some of them are the reasons your house is torn down like it is.
Some of the memories are from those who are not even here any more and we are still holding on to what they did, how they did it, when they did it, and what it was like when they did it. They are gone on and we are still holding on. It’s time to let all of that go.
Some of those things are the reason why our character and attitude is so negative and cold. LET IT GO.
Now on the flip side of this. Some of us have built a strong foundation, a house built on rock. Built strong with the wrong things. Old hurts, guilt, shame, jealousies, disappointments, abuse, abandonments, lies and deceit, unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, rage, hate, fear and torments. It is built so strong on these things that when truth comes, when the positive comes, when deliverance comes, when love comes, even when GOD directly speaks to us or gives us a Word through someone else we don’t except it. We believe it is negative. We believe that the person who is giving us the Word is speaking from their flesh. We feel like they are trying to hurt us. The negative is so strong that it is hard to break through it. But GOD can do it if we let HIM.
Then there is the one who tears, destroys, and keeps his own house weak by his vain imaginations. What vain imaginations? I am not as anointed as them, I don’t have discernment like them, GOD doesn’t love me like HE loves them, I’m to old, nobody wants to hear from me. I don’t know what I will be like after the deliverance. What you will be like is full of life and free. Whom the SON makes free is free indeed.
If we keep on believing the lies, our house will never be built strong on the true rock which is CHRIST JESUS. It will always be weak and built on sand unless you; listen and follow the instructions of the LORD; allow GOD to deliver you; and also really want to be delivered.
It’s up to you. Don’t be afraid to let it all go. GOD has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. Come on and let this mind be in you that is also in CHRIST JESUS.
