About Me

For as long as I can remember,
J.P. Patches has been a HUGE part of my life...

I grew up watching "The J.P. Patches Show"
Every morning
my sister and I would rush to get ready for school
then eat our bowl of cereal in front of the television
watching J.P. Patches waking from his peaceful slumber
at the City Dump...

Today, I am 42 yrs old,
Father to two beautiful, talented young ladies,
Stepfather to two very handsome, and successful young men.
I am a former Shrine Circus Clown
I have enjoyed several years now
as a children's entertainer
I owe it all to the love and compassion
and teachings of J.P. Patches...

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Chris Wedes, an individual most people would probably never recognize... Chris has done so much to shape Seattle and the Pacific Northwest... Bob Newman, a very dear friend of Chris Wedes, and his right-hand man... Together, these men have given so much of themselves, and been an incredible inspiration in many, many lives...

Here are a few Links about J.P. Patches and the fundraising efforts being made to erect the statue to honor J.P. and Gertrude.

The Official J.P. Patches Website

Bongo Congo Kennel,
The Official Ketchikan Fan Club

One of the Official Sponsors of the J.P. Patches Statue Fundraiser...

The Northwest Chapter of
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences

And a very moving article written by P-I Columnist, Susan Paynter...

This clown truly deserves a statue

Television:

Well, TV isn't what it used to be... I really wish that they would bring back the J.P. Patches Show in the mornings so that the younger generations today could enjoy it as former generation have...

Heroes:

J. P. Patches and Gertrude...

My Memories of J.P. Patches I was six years old the first time I saw J.P. Patches in person. He and Gertrude held a Cartoon Carnival at my sister's school. I got an autographed 8x10 picture of J....
