Living is Las Vegas is great - but of course, like most people, I'm a transplant from somewhere else - Detroit! Growing up there was a mix of insanity and normalcy, so of course that's how I wound up how I am!
Between basement bands and just friends I heavily got into music (and the partying that often went with it) for a long time - then lost my voice (unbeknownst to me due to a vocal chord polyp). So, with any thoughts of a singing career dashed, I wandered... eventually trying just about every career option and job option I could come up with, trying to keep to something creative, but often just having to worry about what I was good enough at to earn a living!
Vocal chord surgery straightened out my voice for the most part, so I still sing from time to time (yes, you can catch me doing bad karaoke on a Friday night :) ) I had been focusing on spirituality and making things - even to the point of starting my own jewelry business (see photos to the left of some of my work - you can buy some of it at www.lanceandgrail.com until my husband Tom got involved in the John Zito Band a little over a year ago. John started asking me to sing as a regular guest in the shows doing his original song Drown (after hearing my drunken karaoke bit one night - go figure). He has since pulled that, but hey, it was fun while it lasted :) We really love the hell out of Johnny and Kim and Johnny is STILL one of my fav rockers so be sure to show the love. NO THERE IS NO ANIMOSITY between Tom and Johnny contrary to what anyone might think! So don't fear to offend us if ya support him!!! And the new bass player Dave has proven himself to be a hell of a friend :)
Tom has joined the lineup for Groom Lake - they were playing around town for a while and now are in need of a singer. He's a versatile bass player so you might just be pleasantly surprised no matter WHAT you see him play! I miss seeing him play with a slide man though I have to admit! WOW things change quick around me! Won't let it go to my head if I can help it!! Though as much as I work people see me seldom lately - that'll change once I get the website the way I want it!!There ya have it - me in a Nutty Shell. I'm what you see, sometimes what you don't. Always crazy, often blunt, sometimes foolish (you can see me chew my ankle putting my foot in my mouth regularly). Nothing really special, but usually a 'charachter' to put it bluntly LOL Some say I can be the life of the party - but when I am in one of my 'moods' I also know I can be the death of it. I try VERY hard to stay out of those moods :)
