Saying that Satellite coffee is just Pat Brown and Ron Heathman preparing caffe espresso and French press coffees wouldn't even be half the story. Here's the best half of the story, Satellite Coffee is in partnership with Jana and Donny from Supernova Hair and Tattoo. As a matter of fact, we couldn't have done it without the financial sacrafices of Jana, who didn't take a paycheck home for months while we were doing the build-out. Along with Jana and Donny, Pat and Ron wanna mention their mom's, who lent monies, counseled and helped in ways that only mom's can, so thanks a million Leanna and Skye. Also other family members, Dan and Kellie Cumberland, Dawn and Ruby Heathman. In addition we wanna mention the countless and tireless hours worked by our friends in the Tacoma(and Seattle) community, free of charge or on credit. Thanks a million guys. You know who you are Kevin, George, Josh, Bill, Mark, Joe, Ross, Chris, Nick, Bradley, Steven, The Professor and MaryAnne, Seriously,if we forgot to mention ya, we meant to include ya. Either that or you're burnt. JK.
Pullin' shots is Travis, Milo, Stacy, Maggie, Shawn, Zach, and Jena.
Working exclusively with Stumptown Coffee , we feel that we have found the perfect marriage of micro artisan coffees and meticulous preparation.
We use only the highest quality ingredients. Our dairy, Sunshine Dairy , uses a small group of family owned farms where the cows are happy.
We use only the highest quality syrups and chocolates, which are all pure cane sugar sweetened and naturally flavored, just like the Mexican Coke that you can get here, in a bottle and sweetened with nothing but pure cane sugar, just as God intended it. MMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Our pastry case is filled with goodies from independent local business's.
We won't sell products with artificial flavors, High fructose corn syrup sweeteners, or preservatives. NO MONKEY BUSINESS!!! You can taste for yourself. MMMMMMMMMMMM!

Here are a couple of testimonials.
"Hello my dear new friends at Satellite coffee, How do i put into words the feeling i get when i drink your coffee. I can only say my tummy is coated with goodness. I discovered your shop through the Ed Murrietta at the News Tribune. My son and i had our first cups of Stumptown then we were hooked the next day we brought dad along and then the goodness set in. Our day was full of sunshine after drinking Stumptowm coffee. What an amazing flavor. Quick story, i have been in Chemotherapy for 3 months and i have not been able to drink lattes or any coffee of any kind until the day i climbed the stairs to Satellite coffee. My latte how shall i say it with tactifulness, not only tasted good but stayed down. I had my moment of perfection and no upset tummy all day. I actually was able to eat with gusto the rest of the day. Ok so this might be weird to many people but i have found my way of coping with Chemo..... Thank you so much for Stumptown Coffee and bringing Satellite Coffee to Tacoma. Gee how nice that it is so close to the chemo center. I will spread the word to all . Coffee made to perfection with a flavor that leaves the goodness shining all day.
Warmly and nice foam,
Nancy,Erik and Jerry "

"I had brain surgery this February and the only thing I can remember about being in the hospital is that my mom told me that there was a place that served Stumptown called Satellite close by. All I know is I had a mocha and it was amazing."

Music:

60's Motown. Scratchy old blues records, scratchier the better. Hammond B-3 shit (i.e.Jimmy Smith). Satellite and Stax Records recordings, especially/anything with James Jamerson . Anybody who's name starts with 'Blind', 'Slim' or 'Lightnin'. Excello Records recordings 1956-1959. Other than the couple of white guys that were MG's, The Rolling Stones are pretty much the only white-guys that made our playlist. We aren't racist or nuthin', we just like our music the way we like our coffee...delicious!!!!
