frozen in a glacier
our story starts in the winter of 2004. Rachel Bass of the Syracuse, NY band Ladies & Everyone moves away to California. Still wanting to play together, Matt St. Laurent and Anthony Poletto, the other members of L&E, decided to start another band. Stylistically, they want the music to basically be exactly the same as L&E. But they want singing and a vibraphone to be part of this project. At the urging of his sister, Matt contacts her highschool chum and percussionist Helene Baker. Helene joins and the vibraphone becomes a marimba. To Matt and Anthony's dismay. Finding a bassist would prove difficult for the band. Their first full time bassist would be Russ Murphy. A old school friend of Anthony's. This line up would only stay together for a few shows. To this day, no one is sure if Russ quit the band or was kicked out. But he was replaced with the ex-guitarist of the Skaneateles, NY math-rock band The Sweet Hereafter, Samantha Christine. This line up stayed together until the summer of 2005 when Samantha quit the band. This was the straw that broke the camel's back and the band disbanded. Anthony and Matt went on to play in the band One Hundred Metronomes together. They joined a more mature Russ Murphy on guitar and vocals. Rachel Bass moved back to Syracuse in the summer of 05' and Ladies & Everyone reformed. Though reunions have been attempted, Kaihoro has not played together in full form since the summer of 2004. And never in there lifetime did they play a proper show in syracuse, there home town.
Samantha now plays in the band Kingsbury .
Anthony plays in Ladies & Everyone and Know Nothing . He also plays in Cancer with Russ Murphy. And a few other things here and there.
Matt plays in Ladies & Everyone and has a solo project under the name of Kalechex .
