Starr Ackerman

Vocalist/Producer

About Me

Miami born, Starr Ackermans vocal talent gave way to learning the art of music production and recording after working 4 years in CHR Top 40 radio. Emerging freshly green after attending the ..1 institution for recording arts, Full Sail in Winter Park Fl, luck intervened and she landed her first gig with the likes of hip-hop producer Mario Winans in 2003. After spending a couple of years working in recording studios and assisting major level hip-hop producers and artists like Usher and Sean Paul, Starr decided to turn her experience of radio, production and songwriting skills to the stage, venturing out into the world of electronic music with live vocal performances. After releasing a debut record with Kyle Korn (Left Line) and Jay Roberts, entitled 2nd Street Edition in early 2004, the shift to working solely on electronic music became more appealing and enticing, but wasnt fully realized until 2006, when she was reunited with South Beachs Electro-artists EmilyPlay and Devine, and Rolan Sereny of Digital Lifestyle. Starrs live vocal performance with Digital Lifestyle and others has been welcomed in Miami nightclubs due to South Floridas honor code of electronic music and dearth of LIVE electronic acts. Her vocal art and well-honed musical production talents are steadily being realized as new tracks in the studio with Digital Lifestyles Rolan Sereny, soon to be released on vinyl and CD.
