Josh Wade (Music)

I started playing guitar about 6 and half years ago. I started writing music about 7 or so years ago, and even before that I did choirs and played a couple years of piano. I've never taken any lessons besides singing (for the choir) and piano. I was playing in a band called Dirty Penny (www.myspace.com/dirtypenny). As for my personal sound I find it very difficult, at least for myself to define it, prolly because I don't think that I have a definite sound as of yet and as I grow as an artist I will eventually fall into some mishapen category that is an abundance of many other mainstream categories ( or something like that). Much like any other artist. Nonetheless I love the process of growing as an artist, though frustrating at times, and exploring new avenues. My style, if one were to try and categorize me, is a combination of Blues, R&B/Soul, Folk, Rock in a acoustic manner, however lately I've really been getting into the electric and the awesome blues sound. I just feel the music through my entire being when it comes to blues and soul. No matter whats going on in my life, good or bad, playing the blues and listening or siinging some good soul music always seems to cure or enhance that mood. Either way it is phenomenal.
