What You WANT To Know
What I Am Gonna Tell You
If you ever knew a "Rennie" growing up in Middle Tennessee, it was probably me. I have yet to meet another "Rennie" although I know they are out there. My maiden name was Cantrell.
Okay that out of the way.... I stumbled upon MySpace in mid-2005. I wanted to know what the "hoopla" was all about and I have found a whole new world. So I joined MySpace because I like to meeting new people, making friends and finding long lost friends and so far it is going great!!! I have reunited with several old, back in the day, friends and have met some of the coolest people I now consider my friends. I am very approachable, at least I think so. I am not judgemental and I prefer someone with flaws than a perfect "so and so." I mean think about it what is there to possible talk about if there aren't flaws or unusual and quirky things about us all. Perfect is boring when it comes to conversation. Who wants boring???
Sometimes, I feel so complex and at other times I know I can be read as easy as a book (like right about now). If you've known me, even for a short time, you know I am a huge cut up. I love to laugh, I live to laugh and I enjoy making others laugh. I do it on a daily basis. You have to laugh people, life is toooooo short not to!!! Also, I am very SARCASTIC (in a good HA HA way, never in a way that would hurt feelings) True sarcasm is an art...lol.
I can be quite the Diva on my bad days! But 85% of the time I am a very giving person (probably too giving) and very loving. I will bend over backwards for those in need, "I do unto others...." I am a perfectionist as well but I am much better than I was about 8 years ago. I don't color code my closet anymore. Having a child will change that. Yet it does still run through my veins. EXAMPLE: I have far too many shoes but I might need them one day. I have clothes I have yet to wear because I don't have the right shoe for the outfit, see a pattern?
I AM SO TAKEN....I married my best friend Joey. We just celebrated our 11th year wedding anniversary on New Year's Eve 2007. To me a marriage lasting this long and for us to still be even more in love with each other more than the day we married is indeed a day to be celebrated. I cherish him as he cherishes me.
Joey is the most incredible devoted husband and father. He is totally dedicated to our daughter and me as we are to him. As far as we are concerned he hung the moon just for us.
He is truly heaven sent just for me.
Our daughter is named Taylor. We are so very proud of her. She enjoys school and has been in the Girl Scouts since 2002. There is definitely a tom-boy in her. She loves going fishing with her Pa and daddy (just like I did when I was her age) and playing against her daddy on PS2. She is apparently able to beat Joey's butt. She has a love for music. She amazes us by her knowing so many songs and easily sings along. She just never ceases to amaze us. She likes school and is very smart as well, which is a blessing.
..
Joey is from Cincinnati, Ohio. We met while he was a Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. He would come to Tennessee with is best buddy on leave and his buddy is responsible for us meeting. We married 6 months after meeting. It was love at first sight! HONESTLY!!! Plus, I think it was cheaper to get married than pay for our phone calls and the visits from NC to TN and vice versa...lol! JOKE!!! I constantly thank God that Joey is out of the Marines and I can rest a bit easier now.
Being a Marine's wife is a very hard job.
We live in small town an hour or so outside of Nashville, TN. I've lived here most of my life. My father was an officer in the Army and I was born in Florida while he was stationed at Eglin AFB then we moved to Germany for a few years when dad was stationed there but we ended up here in good ole McMinnville primarily because this was where my dad was born and raised. We have strong roots here.
My mother just so happens to be a Military Brat just like me and my daughter. Her father was an officer in the Air Force and they lived all over, such as Japan, Lybia and Turkey, more places than I can recall. So she really didn't have a "home" to move back to. Yeah, 3 military brats in a row...lol...
Mom = Air Force, Me = Army, Taylor = Marines.
It's actually really a cool thing to be.
I want to give my father a special tribute on my page. He retired from the U.S. Army a few years back as a Lt. Colonel he was an Airborne Ranger as well as well as a Ranger Instructor. He was awarded 1 silver star and 2 bronze stars while serving in Vietnam. I consider all who risk their lives for our country heros!!! After the war my father became an instructor for the Army Rangers at Eglin AFB Florida Ranger Camp (where I was born). He is one tough cookie!!! He went on into his civilian life retiring as a Fireman. He has always applied, always educating himself and has accomplished goals or just what life has thrown his way by giving 150% of himself no matter what it was/is. He is and always will be about helping others and
I am so proud to call him dad!
My ENTIRE family supports ALL the troops 110%. We support the wives and/or families as well. They have the hardest part. The men and women serving in the military are the ones to thank for our freedom. They have it hard being away from home but are trained to bite that upper lip and move on with the fight. They are brave heroes, each and every one of them. Whether they are upfront on the battlefields or stationed back in the US, they all have one goal and that is to keep America safe and they are doing a damn good job at it!!!
Don't let the media forget about out soldiers overseas. I am tired of hearing about the numbers, I want the names of the heroes who died for their country, for following orders given to them by their leaders.
Don't let them be forgotten.

Movies:

One pet peeve I have when it comes to movies, I can not stand to watch a movie more than once UNLESS it is really awesome. I pay far too closely to the movie and catch all I want to see in one setting. But there are rare occassions as you will see listed below that I didn't mind watching more than once. Pretty bad habit, huh?
There is one movie that I will stop dead in my tracts and stop everything to watch "A Knight's Tale" I never get bored with this movie. Excellent!!! R.I.P. HEATH
Here are a few I love:
* Big Fish
* Friday and Day After Friday
* Grease
* Pretty In Pink
* The Lost Boys
* The Princess Bride
* Robin Hood (Kevin Costner)
* Lord of the Rings
(all three on extended version)
* Harry Potter
(all that are out so far)
* Blade 1 and 2
* Shanghai Noon
* Shanghai Knights
* Meet the Parents
* 28 Days
* Coyote Ugly
* Girl, Interrupted
* Se7en
* Pulp Fiction
* Kill Bill 1 and 2
* 13 going on 30
* Shawshank Redemption
* The Sweetest Thing
* Green Mile
* 13 Ghosts
* Saving Silverman

I love Comedies, Drama, Action/Adventure, Biographies, Sci-Fi, some Horror, only a few Romantic movies are okay when deemed necessary.

Television:

.. ON TV I WATCH

I really love Documentaries, anything
that has to do with Forensic Science,
and I never get bored about the Titanic and Ancient Egypt!!!

FIRST & foremost ..I'm ADDICT to CSI and now I watch a lot of TCM (They have some of the coolest movies back in that hey-day!!! addicting...plus there are no commercials during those movies.

I love watching: The Learning Channel, The Discovery Chanel, The History Chanel, Glenn Beck, Reaper, Moonlight, Ghost Whisperer, American Idol,
BONES, NCIS, Fox News, Graham Norton Show, Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares

Comedy is a must for me, I also like:
Ugly Betty, Reba, The Chelsea Handler Show, several Disney shows like Hannah Montana (great show), OH AND OF COURSE Saturday Night Live & MAD TV, but MadTV now trumps over SNL
and any reruns of:
Everybody Loves Raymond, Crossing Jordan, That 70's Show, Friends, CHARMED, Angel and Buffy.

Books:

.. Truth be known, I prefer magazines over books. Reading can be boring. It seems to confine me from getting up and doing things I'd rather be doing. So here are some of the magazines that I enjoy:
..

Heroes:

..
..

The Heroes that surround
& bless my life daily are:

God and His Son for the
blessings I receive daily.
