open minded cool people & music lovers...anyone who can provide knowledge, perspective, wisdom & humor.
I decided to blow up my list because it was far too lengthy and ridiculous! Let's just say that I LOVE MUSIC! Far too many artists to mention!
usually silly goofy stuff from the 70's and 80's...I haven't seen a whole lot of newer movies...for some reason my attention span seems to be too short. The last movie I saw (that wasn't "X" rated) was Meet The Fockers...it was alright but not as good as Meet The Parents. Prior to that, I saw a cool documentary about the life of Minnesota Senator, the late Paul Wellstone. My all time favorites are things like Animal House or The Blues Brothers, Used Cars and Hollywood Knights and, of course, This Is Spinal Tap! Recently, a friend has turned me on to such Academy Award Winning flicks such as Old Skool, Office Space & Team America...World Police.
For the most part, I detest television, which explains why I have DirecTV!?! If the boob tube is on...it's usually in the background for visual stimuli. Otherwise, I might be watching one of the handful of DVD's I own.
I'm reading Joe Biden's autobiography right now. It's called "Promises To Keep". I was recently moved by Mitch Albom's book "For One More Day" as well. Slash's autobiography was an insane read for sure! Barack Obama's two books were fantastic reads as well. I have gotten around to reading more books this year but I am also enjoy reading newspapers and some blogs. Some cool books I'd recommend are: "Reputation Is A Fragile Thing: The Story Of Cheap Trick" by Mike Hayes with Ken Sharp; "Are You Morbid? Into The Pandemonium of Celtic Frost" by Tom Gabriel Fischer; "I Ain't Got Time To Bleed" by Jesse Ventura; "Killing Pablo" by Mark Bowden, "Factotum" by Charles Bukowski; "The Succession" by Jean-Jacques de Mesterton; Pro Secrets Of Heavy Rock Singing" by Bill Martin; "Sound Of The Beast-The Complete Headbanging History Of Heavy Metal" by Ian Christie and "Black Sabbath-Never Say Die 1979-1997" by Garry Sharpe-Young. The Inxs official biography was an interesting read as well.
