About Me

Hao & Jennie 9*13*08
I met my husband in ’99 through my older sister, Sharon. To me, he was the quiet shy guy who seemingly was just too into himself. I had never even spoken to him and yet I was quite presumptuous all because he was good looking. Now I sound like I’m bragging about my husband but I’m not really. My hubby IS good looking! ;)
I was just a young teenager then so the only thought Hao had of me was as “Sharon’s Little Sister”. I didn’t mind that title so much because at the time I wasn’t into "old, stuck up” men. ;) (He was only 25 then!)
Until, of course, I grew up and had my fair share of failed relationships. It’s no secret that I dated a bit much and had come across some great individuals in my life but that’s all “on paper” talk. I always wanted something/someone so much more. I wanted to feel the feeling many write of and film about. The rush of loving someone so passionately; so scorching with fire that even with their titles torn and bank accounts deleted it would not matter. This is what Hao gave to me. Passion. Excitement. Love.
Hao and I had both seen each other from time to time around town but never gained enough courage to approach one another. We would always do the same “Hi” gesture (The head tilt to the side with a smile) but never would we say “Hi” or even wave “Hi”. It was most likely due to the fact that we were both “serial monogamous daters”. No really, we were. We were both always in a relationship.
According to Hao, as I blossomed, [:)] he began to notice me more. (I must have been an ugly teenager.) In the fall of ’03 (Halloween) Hao really began to take notice. He still recalls so vividly my presence at Ruby Skye. I was there with Sharon and I remember her saying “Jason, Hao and them are here.” During this time, I was rather still the presumptuous bitch so it’s fair to say I didn’t give a care.
It’s funny that Hao and I are married today. I never thought in a million years it would be Hao, then again, I never thought in a million years that it would ever be possible for me to be this happy. Hao has brought me to a place where no one has come close to reaching. I am so thankful to have my husband and to have him love me so unconditionally. He doesn't care about my looks, my being fat or skinny or even what degree level I choose to be at or aspire to. He's just so happy to have me and I am so lucky to have him.
When I used to go out and about I remember girls telling me how they think Hao is so cute and that they wouldn’t mind going for him. As a matter of fact, this was a pretty common conversation when Hao was around. To me, Hao was just a clubbing guy so I never bothered. (Though, I secretly thought he was cute too. :p)
In December of 06, Hao and I were both at Vivid (Studio 8, at the time). For some strange reason, something took a hold of me because for the first time ever, when I saw Hao I came up to him and not only said “Hi” but also gave him a big hug and with that, the rest is history. :)
My life was on pause.....
It's not a complex thought: the blue I see isn't necessarily the blue you see. It's almost self-explanatory, really. Language is imperfect. Take an apple and describe it in a word that reflects the exact image of that apple. It is impossible. We cannot even begin to describe the exact color. You might say dark red, whereas I describe it as light or maybe even a red no one has ever come across. We are expected to use feelings and senses to paint word pictures that is universal. It's as if we are expected to dive into our handy-dandy Thesaurus and pick out the perfect words to see the pictures we see out of our windows to the world. But we must not forget, language is imperfect. My only point is before you snap because someone is having a difficult time "getting" you. Don't yell. Don't scream. Don't get upset. Fight not to get a point across. Fight not to win. Fight not to fight but fight to appreciate. Fight to identify with. Fight to see the same blue. Take a step back to understand that perspective. Take a step back to see the blue I see and I will see the blue you see.

Sometimes there are things I wish I am and then there are times, there are things I wish I am not. I laugh too much. I talk too loud. I think too much and question just about everything and anything. For me, as cliche as it may be, life is too short. Mid life is officially at 35! Thirty five and half your life is gone. At the end of the day, I'm just thankful I found someone to laugh too much with. Talk too loud to and to answer my unanswered questions. Thanks Ong Xa!
