About Me

...what a question, anyway, I suppose I'll start with the usual statistics. I'm 23 yrs old and just graduated college(Yea!) with a b.a. in Political Science from Rutgers College. I'm your typical waitress/bartender/caterer just trying to make a few bucks while preparing for, gasp, 'real life.' I'm an extracurricular dance/theater geek with the typical b-way cd portfolio to boot. Oh yeah, and I've got the 'fifteen minutes late for life' thing down to a science.

My Interests

Yes, I have interests...but who wants to be bogged down by such rambling so I'll keep it simple: family, friends, poli sci, theater, and whatever hobby I discover before I again edit this page...

I'd like to meet:

I'm looking for a single guy whose willing to take long walks on a moonlit beach...yeah right...I'm here for the same reason we're all here: some friend told us about it and now we're all sad, addicted myspace fools. But we're happy fools, and isn't that what counts... ;)

Music:

I like all genres, its music, what's not to love? But, like all true theatre geeks, the number of broadway songs I've memorized exceeds all reason (lol).

Movies:

This may take a minute...Cabaret; Chicago; Annie; The Wizard of Oz; The Sound of Music; Beauty and the Beast; Dirty Dancing; Shirley Temple; Rent; Moulin Rouge; Fame; Hair; Passion (told you I was a theater geek). Oh, and the comedic classics: Office Space, Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, and, by default (I've waited tables for close to six years) Waiting. The list could go on but for now I'll end with...

Television:

What's that? I seriously NEVER have time to watch it, but when I do, it's normally 1:30am, like it is now, and I have Nick @ Nite on. What can I say, some of us have jobs that force us to forsake reality television for reality (lol).

Books:

Alright, here's where the politician comes out... A Handmaid's Tale, The Wild Party, Night, Black Like Me, A History of Tyranny, Our America, Maus I and II, A Light in the Attic, The Boxcar Children, The White Hotel, Wicked, Politically Correct Fairy Tales, A Vindication on the Rights of Women, and many others...

Heroes:

In my opinion, a hero is someone willing to do not what is easy but rather what is right in the face of adversity. Whenever we look back to the moments that shaped our lives for the better, we are measuring the amount of heroism present in those who were responsible for such instances. Those are the true heroes that belong in this space, and luckiily in my case, their names would fill much more space than this page allows.
