About Me

Hallway’s story is one that brings together two walks of life, two distinct styles, and two world views to form something original and organic with a side of hot sauce.
James Dallas began singing at the age of 14 in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. At 19, he moved to Youngstown, Ohio, formed the Hollywood recording group “Youngstown” and began working with Gordon “Commissioner Gordon” Williams (KRS1, Lauren Hill, Joss Stone, Leela James). Youngstown’s debut release “I’ll Be Your Everything” was the title track on Disney’s “Inspector Gadget” soundtrack and achieved certified gold sales. At this time, Dallas began coming into his own as a songwriter and producer, writing 6 songs and producing 3 on the Youngstown debut album. Another one of his songs, “Through Your Eyes,” was licensed by Kodak for their national digital camera marketing campaign.
Josh Keaton, a longtime actor, got his start in music as a teenager in the gospel group "All God's Children", produced by Lou Adler (former president of Capitol Records), and began to discover his passion for singing. He also began to develop musical preferences and a style that would show off his unique gift. Over the next few years, Josh toured the world as a lead singer in the MJJ/Sony group “No Authority.” Following his experience in the group, Josh remained busy filming several independent films, various television shows (“Will and Grace,” “Bones,” “ER,” Jerry Bruckheimer’s “Skin”), and will soon be heard as the voice of Peter Parker/Spiderman in Marvel/Sony’s “The Spectacular Spider-Man,” set to begin airing in March 2008.
No strangers to the music business, Josh and Dallas have worked with heavy hitters such as Ne-Yo, Rodney Jerkins, Guy Roche, Matthew Gerard, Glen Ballard, Richard Marx, Nile Rogers, Wade Robson, and Dianne Warren to name a few; and have, with all of their collective experiences, written and produced their debut album (in progress) “So Long.”
Stay tuned below! Hallway will be turning on their cameras and letting you watch them in the studio a few days a week. Get a glimpse of Josh and Dallas in the creative zone.
