Ingrid Marie Rivera Santos was born to parents John Rivera and Alba Iris Santos on October 8, 1983 on the 'Enchanted Island' of the Caribbean, Puerto Rico. She is currently studying Marketing & Finance at the University of Puerto Rico, and is a part time model.Ingrid began her steps in the pageant world in 2002, being designated as Miss Barranquitas World and Miss Puerto Rico Hawaiian Tropic.Later in 2003 she was designated Miss Puerto Rico Global Queen and won the Miss Global Queen Contest held in Canada on November 22, 2003.Two years later, in 2005, Ingrid was designated Miss Dorado World and represented this city in Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico, winning the title of the national contest, before attending the Miss World beauty pageant later that year. She obtained the title of Miss World Caribbean and became the second runner-up in the Miss World contest held in Sanya, a southern China beach resort, on December 10, 2005.Most recently, Ingrid was designated Miss Dorado Universe, in which she competed in the Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2008 pageant, winning this title. The ceremony was held on November 23, 2007 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.Ingrid will compete now at the Miss Universe 2008 pageant to be held in Nha Trang, Vietnam on May, 2008.
