About Me

Check out my videos . There's a NEW VIDEO there!
I exist mostly in six places. I was born and raised by oregon trees, made to eat oregon dirt, love to wade in oregon's murky depths. But my earliest memories are of nevada and wyoming where the wind never tires... and the snow piles on and on like blankets a grandmother lays across you, hoping you would stay warm from the cold, and where horses rage across the flattest plains, and the cracks in the desert match the cracks in your skin where the sun has parched you dry. In Costa Rica, I exist in another language. The first stirrings of dance, of peace, of adventure, and of the world. The circle extended by the Dominican Republic. Hay que bailar, hay que salir, hay que conocer a muchos muchachos... como dijo mi madre. The rhythm, and the heat... you must lose yourself in the Caribbean. And then there is LA. where all the learning takes place. I exist partially there now. But... as the pattern gets more intricate and subtle, being swept along is no longer enough.

My Interests

Editing (check out the trailer for skillz' comedy DVD). Backpacking. Water, rivers, lakes, swimming. I like swimming in lakes at night under a full moon. Raise your glasses to Detroit and Applegate. ;) I like days when I can walk to the oak forest and feel the sun in the shade. I like marshmallow comforters. I like swimming with fish in the red tide. I like watching films in the dark. I enjoy speaking Spanish. I like the strange language that guy and his little sister spoke at the hot tub near Disneyland which is still a mystery to me. I like dangerous roller coasters. I love Costa Rica. I come alive when salsa dancing. I like dancing with guys who may or may not know how to dance. I try to cultivate peace. I like Quakers. I like Woodburn and all of the Mexican Americans. I like asking for marshmallow ice cream at Bon and being told that it´s not ice cream. I like movies with twists. I like wild horses galloping together across the plains of Wyoming. I like titillating lightning and thunder storms. I feel sleepy but soothed in candlelight. I like small boutiques. I LOVE Farmer's Markets. I like buying quarters of our neighbor's cows. I like spending long hours of unexpected time with old friends and complete strangers. I like MST3K. I like getting along well with people my brother's age. I like beach houses. I like drifting on an open sea. I like climbing mountains and hiking. I like watching a surprisingly lovely film I had never heard of. I like short shorts. and... i like... editing films.
