David

David McFarland is a cinematographer, photographer, and drummer living in Los Angeles, Ca. Trained in cinematography at Boston Universtiy, David makes a living shooting feature films, music videos, and television. On top of working in the U.S., David has shot projects in Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, England, and Mexico. Aside from directing photography on many films and music videos, he has served as 2nd Unit DP on multiple films such as: ALL I WANT (starring Elijah Wood, Franke Potente, and Mandy Moore/ Millineum Films) and HARD CASH(starring Val Kilmer and Christian Slater/ Nu Image films). A member of the International Cinematographers Guild, David has camera operated on many films and series including GREY’S ANATOMY. David recently wrapped a documentary for Showtime Pictures and THE RUN, a super 35mm film in shot on location in Mexico. He recently shot YOUR NAME HERE, a 1970’s period film about Philip K.
