the vtc's reign of terror was from 1999 - 2002 we played all over the place, anywhere we could.
here's the time-line, i think.
the originial line-up was
matt kunkel - vocals
jeff forwood - vocals
matt bennet - guitar
noamel gonzalez - bass
zach kowalchek - drums
Recorded our first record in edgewood, MD at HRC studios with Scott Rieber.
we'll call it, "the lost episodes" because it was never released and we never did anything with it.
After that Jeff, and Matt left the band. Matt went on to join xLooking Forwardx. (long time friends of ours.)
Which brings us to vengeance theory's second coming.
the "newer" line-up
easy - vocals
ozzy - guitar
noamel - bass
zach - drums
Evan "Easy" Morgan joined the band via arlington, VA was hired on the spot. Ben "Ozzy" Osborn had been practicing with us as second guitar before matt left, but due to matts departure Ozzy was promoted.
so with this newly reformed line up we decided to record once again (this time for real) We made the trek up to Newark, DE to record with Nick Rotundo at Clay Creek Studios. The7-song ep is now known as the "maryland's most hardcore" EP. the track list is as follows:
1. his slow descent into mediocrity
2. fuck it up
3. guilty until proven dead
4. rid the cancer
5. to each his own
6. feign
7. prove me wrong
after the album dropped we did a bunch of shows all over the place. we even had a second guitarist for a short stint, his name was jack mishkie. After his depature we recorded yet another EP in some dude named nik's basement.
the recording didn't turn out like we expected but what can ya do?
the album was later named, "11.11.01" being that was the month, day and year it was recorded, yep. you heard it right, recorded in one day. the track list was:
1. run of the mill
2. devil's harvest
3. F-49
4. blindsided
after that album we decided we needed to try our luck at a second guitarist again. so we recruited long time friend and guitar virturoso rich sotomayer. We played a bunch of shows and then went our seperate ways in early 2002. sorry shit happens.
BUT WAIT.....
we played a reunion show on August 11, 2007 at the bel-air american legion and fucking destroyed the place.
a shit load of kids showed up, a handful of kids got beat up and the legion got shut down, typical VTC show. what the fuck did you expect? this is HARDCORE.
R.I.P.
