A few years ago, a bunch of my friends wanted me to put a trip together...that one cruise 5 years ago led me to start a travel agency called Whet Travel which has now somehow turned into one of the most talked about travel agencies in the business. From the NY Times twice, CNN, 944, Travel Agent Magazine, Toronto Star, Orlando Sentinel and even FOX's Deco Drive did a skit on us...it's been a wild ride so far and for some reason i have a feeling the ride hasn't even begun yet. Without my clients and friends like you, I am nothing so thanks for your comments, feedback on our fliers, artists, new concepts, and for spreading the Whet love. So, how did I get into the fascinating life of travel? Well, I had a mentor of mine tell me: "Find something you LOVE to do and find a way to get paid to do it" I was sitting behind a desk of a Fortune 100 company and was miserable so it made me think...and what I loved more than anything was to go on vacation. SO, I figured I needed to find a way to get paid to go on vacations! I became a tour manager and took groups of people on vacations around the world for 4 years. After taking 125 groups of people on vacations, i became an expert in the vacation experience and what people like and don't like...As a fun thing, I put together a group of friends to go on a cruise and it turned into a business which has now been in the New York times...TWICE!! I love the quote..."When you have a purpose, the world comes to you." Read it again if you don't have a purpose in life...it really is true.
