About Me

Christopher Robert Evans was born in 1981 and raised in Boston, the son of a dentist and a dancer. Chris decided early in High School that he wanted to pursue acting. He landed a few parts in theater starring in regional Masachesetts productions of "A Midsummer Nights Dreams," "A Wrinkle in Time" and a few other plays. His professional acting career started in plays at the Boston Playwrights' Theatre. After completing his junior year in H.S. he traveled to New York where he interned at a casting agency and took a summer acting program. That same summer he met an agent that helped him get his start in acting after completing high school. Chris had small parts on television series such as Boston Public and The Fugitive before landing his most notable role as Jake Wyler in "Not Another Teen Movie".Chris loves his craft and had this to say after he found out he had scored a lead role in "Not Another Teen Movie." "You jump up and down and you call everyone you know. I didn't realize - you think you are doing a movie but then you realize it's a Columbia Pictures movie so it's probably going to have some publicity. Then you see a billboard and it's like, 'God! I'm on a billboard!' It doesn't hit all at once, it kind of unravels itself and it's still unraveling. It's a great trip and I love it to death."Since filming wrapped on NATM, Chris landed several more lead roles in "The Perfect Score" and "Cellular." He also starred in a few independent films where we got to see a different side to Chris. In "London", Chris played a strung out coke head and in "Fierce People" he got to play a character with a few dark secrets. And what could quite possibly be Chris' biggest achievement yet, he has been chosen to play Johnny Storm in "Fantastic Four" in a total of three films.Chris is certainly making a name for himself. He's worked opposite some of the biggest names in Hollywood such as Kim Basinger, Diane Lane, Scarlett Johansson, William H. Macy and Donald Sutherland, just to name a few. He was named 'Male Superstar of Tomorrow' at the 2005 Young Hollywood Awards. He's been featured in many well known magazine publications, he's wowing directors and co-stars with his acting abilities and landing movie roles left and right. Indeed, Chris's future looks very promising. When you look back at where he started, acting in high school plays, to now making feature films, you can say that Chris has achieved one of his lifetime goals, a goal that one can only hope to achieve.
