About Me

I love travelling. Fortunately my work allows me to do this on a regular basis. Enjoy meeting new people and experiencing their lifestyles, along with the awesome scenery that surrounds us, both natural and man-made. One day you may see me kayakking, bicycling, or snorkelling. The next, I might be spotted touring on a motorcycle searching for a hot spring. If I'm found in the city, chances are I'm checking out some artwork, enjoying a pint of double IPA (hey, Seattle, Portland... you don't have anything on Stone or AleSmith, in San Diego), or dancing to some live music. But when the day is over, nothing beats the rewarding feeling I get from thinking of my daughter, who is away at school, building her own adventures.
I thank Steve for this game.

My Interests

The great outdoors, motorcycling, kayakking, dancing, bicycling, martial arts, exploring different cultures, history, and finding out "why".

I'd like to meet:

God. I have more than a few questions for her. I would have liked to have met Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Eleanor, and Edison, but they're all ambient temperature now. Besides, the first two spoke Italian. That makes it kind of difficult to hold a conversation.

Music:

Joss Stone, KT Tunstall, Young Dubliners, Sonia Dada, David Byrne, Breeders, John Lennon, Richard Thompson, SRV, Hot Rod Lincoln, Cherry Poppin' Daddys, Reel Big Fish, Janis, Slightly Stoopid, Hank3, Buckwheat Zydeco, Social D, Natalie MacMaster, Chris Isaak, Lyle Lovett, Sheryl Crow, Etta James. In other words... Blues, Rockabilly, Ska, Zydeco, Celtic, and Alt-Rock, but like it all (yes, even country and rap). Just keep me away from the hatred based material. Life's too short.Music good, Live music better. Keep Austin weird.

Movies:

Can't really sit still that long.

Television:

Teach me something while I watch you, or you're not getting any of my time. Must admit to YouTube one in a great while.

Books:

Tao of Pooh, Te of Piglet, DaVinci Code. Drowning in Wikipedia. Actually read more maps than books.

Heroes:

Abraham Lincoln, Eleanor Rooseveldt, Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., Jimmy Carter, John Lennon, Walt Disney
