A LOT of people asked me what I was taking their picture for...
Last night I took my camera to The Pearl up on 3rd and Main in Jacksonville FL (They have a MySPage). It was wild and I had a good time. I don’t know about 95% of the people there but it is usually an awesome crowd except for the cameo “one a$$hole†that I happen to run into last night. To you my friend, I salute you… because you obviously don’t “get it†which leaves much more room for those of us that do.
Back to the Camera… too many moments in my life were lost. I have so much that I want to go back and see. I don’t want to relive it for some backwards looking stuckness in the past but rather to share what is, was, and how I felt and most importantly the lessons that I learned as I crawled from being a “shut inâ€, into the real world. Had it not been for those experiences, I would forever be shut in my bedroom and might well have been dead inside.
In a flash of inspiration I ran to the PC and researched getting a camera, found one, bought it, and promised myself that I would always carry it; I promised myself that I would look for the pieces of life that connect with others and try to rebuild what it is that appreciate in the people around me. It’s a newly discovered passion. Maybe it was never there before, or maybe, it was there and I did not know it’s name.
For this reason I will always carry my camera or have it nearby, the moment doesn’t hold still and I have a lot of memories to capture with him. So this is what I do, what I am about, and if you ever run into me and I get to know you and ask to take your picture, this is why:
THE MOMENT: don’t ever miss it. I have no objective other than trying to connect with people, to live, to learn, enjoy, and share experiences. I may just want to meet you, get to know the uniqueness that we all have inside. Sometimes I may write about it, sometimes I may capture a moment and hold it until someone needs it.
