About Me
Doom Lit Sky was created as a two piece in 2002 by founding members Justin Ray and Cameron Olson. The sound that came from the basement was utterly brutal, raw, and blasphemous. DLS then acquired member Kyle Ewegen to play bass and add grinding vomit on the vokills. Jason Griffith was then added as a second guitar player. They recorded a live demo entitled "At war with hardcore" with Bobby Hattenberg and Bill Nieman as engineer. DLS later recorded our first full length entitled "In Ruin" which was recorded entirley at Bill Nieman Studios. Since the recording, Jason Griffith is no longer in the band, Jeff Huttenmaier is know the Lead guitar player.
DLS has played with many greats-- Deicide, Anthrax, Vital Remains, Desolation, Estuary, Incantation, Splatterhouse, SKarp, Slightly less than nothing, Severed Savior, Deeds of flesh, Obituary, Meralgia, Sand, Sadus, L'acaphale... As well as local bands- Rutah, Nganga, Age of Nefilim, Meenagorp, Fumaric, Belt of vapor, Malevolent, OSH, and many many more.
