About Me

Fronted and founded by Elizabeth Schall, Dreaming Dead released their first recording in the summer of 2006: a four-song demo entitled "Through the Eyes of Insanity" under the band name of Manslaughter. The reviews for that release were stellar, leaving listeners aching for more of the blackened, death-thrash attack that they find to be reminiscent of Death, Slayer, Cryptopsy, and Opeth. "Impressive", "devastating", "technically precise", and "great debut" are not terms to be thrown around lightly.
Dreaming Deadâ€™s current line-up is Elizabeth Schall - lead vocals/lead guitars, Michael Caffell - drums/samples/back-up vocals, Leslie Medina - lead guitars & Juan Ramirez - bass.
We have recently gone through a name change and many of you questioned this decision and expressed your discontent, so we'd like to offer a more detailed explanation. For a year and a half we called ourselves â€œManslaughterâ€. But this project had become such a greater vision and such a bigger commitment than we could have envisioned at the outset, we felt like weâ€™d left behind the â€œManslaughterâ€ concept of the band long ago. Manslaughter is such a limited concept, and in dreams and death there is infinity
