Til Death Do Us Part

About Me

Derek (that's me!) has been churning out lo-fi DIY recordings since Y2K, when he decided to buy an 8 track recorder and become a reclusive, multi-instrumentalist recording artist. He made 2 albums in 4 years. In mid 2005 he got really bored of being a one man band, so he enlisted his old lady to be his drummer. Well, actually he threatened to get a sexy chick drummer and she reminded him that she was a sexy chick but was not yet a drummer and would it be OK to be his drummer even though she had never even so much as picked up a drumstick. He told her she had to audition. She did, she rocked the audition and was hired on the spot. So the one man band thus became a one man, one woman band, and that is how it is going to be forever and ever. Sometimes Derek (thats me!) just plays acoustic guitar and harmonica and sings, sometimes melanie drums along with that set-up, and sometimes he goes electric and when that happens they rock so hard (or suck so bad-it all hinges on the stars and the libations) that it is very, very, very, very, very scary.
