My interests include reading, writing, and studying. Love to learn something new everyday.Love to read novels by horror writers. Although my writings consist mainly of horror, have begun branching out to other avenues of story-telling.When I write - my poetry concerns people, places and loves of my life."You want to spread your wings and fly- I want to catch you should you fall. You want your freedom to soar so high, I want to cradle you - each and all. As a free spirit you'll never know- Until you have children of your own. The tears that flow each time you go, Until you finally fly back home."Love spending time with wife, children, and grandchildren.More into the mountains (love going to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee : beautiful scenery), than the beach (even though I grew up in Norfolk/Chesapeake/and Virginia Beach). My father passed away 5 1/2 years ago and have been working on my ancestry since. Have learned that I'm part Cherokee (mother's side) and part Crow (father's side). Guess that explains my wild fascination with my hair being long since the 60's. :D Also learned that my ancestry includes German, some Irish, Scottish, and English......guess that makes me a mutt!!!
Friends to get to know and share lives with......As for famous people: I would've love to met John Wayne. He was and still is my favorite actor. Got a little John Wayne museum, from all the items I've collected over the years.Have met Mark Farner (of Grand Funk Railroad), and Degarmo and Key in the past.Would love to have met my Indian ancesters.Have already met about 10 MySpace friends, but would love to meet more. So many have touched my life and my heart for over a year, and will always be special to me. ALWAYS.
Love rock 'n' roll - The 60s and 80s rock. Favorite bands and singers of the 60s were The Beatles (of course). Liked the Rolling Stones; Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young......but I also liked alot of the early 60s rock. Saw bands like Slade, Five Man Electrical Band, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Herman's Hermits, and (yes, I'll confess) The Monkees, saw them just as they were learning to play their instruments.Love country music. I like Travis Tritt (who alot of people have compared me to), Montgomery Gentry, Gretchen Wilson (guess you knew that), Martina McBride, and Allison Krause. And there's so many good new artists out there like C. T. Harrison and Kimmy Jo that I really like. Not into rap or disco one bit !!!!!!!! But love R & B and Jazz.Love music from the 30s, 40s, and 50s also.Love Motley Crue, Aerosmith, the Ozz-Man, and from today I like Nickleback (alot) and Simple Plan, Daniel Powter, and local singers around here like Jerry Chapman and Lee Terry, and think everyone needs to keep their eyes on C T Harrison.

Great Actress. Also loved the movie "The Gift" with Cate Blanchett and "Resurrection" with Ellen Burnstyn. Better go out before I name a thousand movie titles here. :D
My favorite television show is "Grey's Anatomy" ....I never miss an episode. I'm a Grey's Junkie !!!Love the comedies like Reba, How I Met Your Mom, and The Class. Also like Cold Case, the O'Reiley Factor, and Shark.
Love horror novels. Koontz is my favorite writer. Will read just about anything that tweeks my interest......from the Bible (constantly) to crime magazines to even the encyclopedia.
I don't think of Hollywood stars and/or athelics as heroes. To me the heroes are the policemen and firemen out there putting their life on the line each and every day, saving people and keeping law and order. The military soldiers are my examples of true American heroes. Fighting and putting their lives on the line for our freedom and to make it safe in our country. Have alot of friends and some family right now in Iraq and I support them 100%.Mothers and fathers who give up their lives to raise and take care of their children each and everyday, sacrificing for them......they are heroes.Ministers who spend their entire lives for the souls of others, these are heroes.Always remember as we face adversities, it's how we end up after everything that makes us who we are....remember -the same sun that melts butter also hardens bricks. Think about it.
