Timmy Russell

Born in southern California I started playing drums at the tender age of eight refining my skills by playing along with my mom's vinyl record collection. Who needs lessons when you got the greats like John Bonham and Keith Moon and who ever else influenced me at the time on the record player. Anyway i played in a variety of local bands growing up paying my dues (ohh wait i don't think we ever stop) I started touring at the age of 20 for national acts being a drum tech,guitar tech,tour manager,for acts like Flotsam And Jetsam,Lynch Mob,Quiet Riot,and others i can't remember at this time. After that i got my first big playing break drumming for Lynch Mob as a fill-in. Moving on from there I did drum tracks on a Michael Schenker album. Keeping with the whole studio vibe I ended up doing an EP for Magnatype and Tommy T-Bone Caradonna(Lita Ford,Alice Cooper) Getting tired of the studio and looking to do something different I co-founded a band called The Heartless. We recorded a 6 song EP which i think sounds really really good and i think you can buy it off their my space. Check it out or you can hear a song on page. After i finished the drum tracks for The Heartless i was off to go play for Pretty Boy Floyd were i have filled in on a few tours. Now I'm currently in Bang Tango and Beautiful Creatures.
