Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Elaine began studying piano, violin and singing at age 3. Elaine studied voice at the Peabody Conservatory of Music and the Royal College of Music. An acclaimed soprano, she performs and tours throughout the U.S. with some highlights including the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center with the Mark Morris Dance Company and soprano soloist for the New York Collegium (Andrew Parrott) and the Waverly Consort.
Elaine has composed and produced two CDs of original music - '9' (2002) and Apolune (2005) with drummer Ryan Cavan and bassist Rich Chapple. She is currently working on her 3rd CD with producer Kieran Kelly (The Receiver) recorded at the Buddy Project in New York with bassist Rob Calder (Ari Hest) and drummer Mark Stepro (Ben Kweller) which will be released in 2009.
