DJ Fader P. Chicago’s premier DJ/Producer with music styles ranging in Hip Hop, House, Reggae, Reggaeton and R&B/Soul began his career at the mere age of 10. By 15 he was opening up for legendary hip-hop acts such as Styles of Beyond (Fort Minor), Juice, Swollen Members, O Type Star, Typical Cats and Binary Star. Using this as a stepping stone Fader began working as a contributing writer and resident DJ for Chicago based magazine, Rebirth Magazine in 2000, as well as a resident DJ at Chicago’s radio station WLUW 88.7 FM entitled “The Hip Hop Project†that aired every Saturday at 7:30 PM.
In 2002, Fader released his first mixtape, Jewy on The Decks that got critical acclaim ending up on the Best of 2003 list on UrbanSmarts.com which allowed him work on the Konee Rok Mixtape as well as his most recent project Rhymefest – Poppin’ My Blue Collar.
With a keen sense of reading crowds, impressive turntablism skills, and a loyal fan base being built from such a young age, Fader now at age 24 is able to bring a fresh attitude and outlook to the Chicago music scene and abroad. DJing locally at Chicago nightspots such as; Chromium Nightclub, Transit Nightclub, Dragon Fly, Zentra, Wet Nightclub, Crocodile Lounge, Hotel Manaco, Sofitel Hotel, Cherry Red, Spot 6, Boutique (former Dragon Room) and Caramel Ultra Lounge he has been able to implement all he has learned into making a experience for club-goers and music enthusiasts all around that they will never forget.
Beyond DJ Fader’s DJING skills, he is a marketing/promotions guru as well. Currently he is responsible for brokering the deal between the Barack Obama Campaign and Hip-Hop Sensations Kidz In The Hall, creating a digital licensing deal to use the song as the campaigns theme song. He also is working on various other marketing/consulting jobs including Nike, MTV , Chicago Blackhawks, Going.com and digital licensing.
