Welcome to my page!!! I am the former Mrs.Texas 2006 Outstanding Women of America. I spent several months speaking out on behalf of abused children, volunteering, attending charity events, raising donations towards child advocates, and traveling to spread the message of breaking the cycle of violence. I am extremely passionate about my platform in breaking the cycle of child abuse.In May of 2007 I was crowned the Outstanding Woman in Amercia! I was so shock upon my crowning that I just stared at the ground, and thought, now what. Not the typical look you usually see on a pageant winner! I didn't grab my face and sob!I know that being a survivor from child abuse was definitely an achievement, and choosing to make a difference was an even greater one. My hopes are to use my crown as my microphone, and to seize each opportunity to share my story of bravery and healing. I want others to be informed on child abuse awareness and the fact that child abuse is a cycle that needs to be broken. I hope to encourage others with deep scars from trauma and abuse to receive help and healing that is available to them.

* Each day, 4 children will die as a result of child abuse or neglect in the U.S.
* In Texas, more than 135 children are abused or neglected each day. On average, a child in Texas dies from neglect or abuse every two days.
* Anyone who files a child abuse report, in good faith and without malice, is immune from civil or criminal liability.
* Suspected child abuse should be reported to the nearest Child Protective Service Office, to the 24-hour Child Abuse Hotline (800.252.5400), or to local law enforcement officials.
