Chase The Light [TORONTO MAY 3RD]

In late 2007, the dynamic sound of Chase the Light was born. Coming out of Kingston Ontario, four individuals; Patrick Donovan, Alex Arthurs, Chris Maurice, and Nick Gallinger were inspired to set & reach their goals. In only a few short weeks the band began writing/recording. The first release, ‘My Ceiling’ was almost instantly regarded as being fresh and original, with the influences from varying genres of music. Not only is the instrumental work catchy, the writing is intriguing throughout it’s complex metaphors and heart-filled lyrics. Within two months, Chase the Light was able to compete with long living bands around the Kingston area before even playing a show. With just one track they were able to line up a festival and several shows.
In early January 2008, the band was off to Burlington, Ontario for their first photo shoot with Brooks Reynolds, a unique photographer that’s worked with Canadian artist such as Silverstein, Moneen, The Reason & Ten Second Epic. The band plans to do an Ontario/Quebec tour to follow up the ‘World Below In Stereo’ EP release late April. With a mind state so focused, they plan to sign to a label when the time is right, and continue to reach out to people of all ages.

Q: Who are you? Where are you from? How long have you been a band?
A: We are Chase The Light from Kingston, Ontario Canada and we have been a band for a short but sweet six months.
Q: When will you be playing in [INSERT CITY HERE]?
A: Tell us where you’d like us to play! We’re a fairly new band, so the best way to get us to your city faster is to spread the word to your friends and their friends! Also if you know any production or show promoters, send them our way!
Q: Where can I get your EP?
A: Our debut EP will be released through iTunes worldwide sometime this month/early May! We will also be opening our online-store where you can purchase the hardcopy of the EP if you'd rather have that.
Q: Where can I get your merch?
A: You will be able to soon purchase our t-shirts when we open our online store, also you will soon be able to grab awesome CTL merch at our shows!
Q: Can you post lyrics to your songs?
A: The lyrics can be found right in the music player next to the 'add' button, as well on our facebook group!
Q: How can I be one of your top friends?
A: Our top friend spots are usually saved for bands we like or have played with or going to be playing with. As well as any organization that is supporting our band! BUT you can be there to! Once the t-shirts are released if you take a picture wearing the shirt and have it as your default you will be a top friend, sound cool?
Q: You guys have a great sound! How can I help promote you?
A: There are a number of things you can do to help promote:
- Posting bulletins asking your friends to check us out!
- Post our banners on your page (code's above the FAQ).
- Feature one of our songs on YOUR profile.
- Make us one of your top friends.
